GEOG 104 — Climate Change, Water and Society

This introductory course examines the causes of climate change, its impacts on natural and human systems, and its connections to water, risk, adaptation, and mitigation. Students learn how climate change affects society through changes in extreme weather, water availability, ecosystems, infrastructure, and public decision-making.

GEOG 214 — Weather and Climate

This course introduces the fundamental principles and processes governing Earth’s weather and climate. Topics include radiation, energy balance, the greenhouse effect, clouds, precipitation, atmospheric circulation, mid-latitude cyclones, thunderstorms, tornadoes, climate change, air pollution, and the ozone hole.
